    Chainmail My Idea

    Hi everyone,
this is my very first post
I would like to ask if anyone has been considering using protective gloves to speed up the process of creating a real chainmail.

Cut the fingers and you have a coif ready to use, or am I wrong?

Maybe you can create hauberk too

    Re: Chainmail My Idea

    Hi, welcome to OSW.

I like the way you think. I had the same idea and bought one to mess around with. Unfortunately they aren't any good for 1:6. The weave is too thick and the material isn't flexible enough. The best solution is to get welded mail from the Ring Lord.

Their smallest links are 2.7mm in diameter, which is a little too large for 1:6 but not too bad.
