I usually run it under HOT, HOT, VERY HOT water until it is pliable enough to pop off. Sometimes you need the help of a flat screwdriver to get it started. Others prefer using a hair dryer instead. Whichever method you use, just concentrate the heat at the base of the neck.

p.s. don't combine the hot water method and the hair dryer method at the same time...

I boil some water in a pot then after a few minutes stick the head in the hot water fro a couple of minutes and then it pops right off; easy!!
