As a kid (1960's) watching all the Hogan's Heroes, the WWII movies on Saturdays at the theaters, the typical German uniforms were all grey.:popcorn
As I got into collecting 1:6 (1999) I only saw green and all other color and types of field German uniforms.
Hardly any grey uniforms.
Wat ist loss?:dunno

I think it's a matter of time period, supply issues, branch of service, and the usual non-regulation adoption that even the Germans couldn't stop altogether. Feldgrau seems to have had variable tones, perhaps dependent on what factory, dyes, fabrics were at hand?
Hogan and his buddies were guarded by Luftwaffe personnel, who should have been clad in the blue-grey LW uniform.

Ah ha! Thank you pukindog. One thing really bugged me (even as a kid) was in Combat.
all the Germans were in pristine, form fitting uniforms, while Saunder's squad, and all Americans were all dirty and raggedy.
Even the American repo's who came to the unit were all beat up.
