New from ZICA Toys, The Six Million Dollar Man retro style action figures! Get ready to travel back to 1974 and relive the adventures of the world’s first bionic man. Sculpted in 3.75” scale, these harken back to the heyday of action figures, when the designs were simple and the fun factor was off the charts!

Assortment 1 includes Colonel Steve Austin (red tracksuit) and Bionic Bigfoot. ZICA Toys has big plans for this line and is hopeful that vehicles and playsets will eventually be available. Variants and exclusives are also planned but rest assured that everyone will have a fair opportunity to get them. Preorders are expected to begin soon so keep checking your favorite online retailer for more info.

Interesting that this should come up now. I've been watching Six Million Dollar Man repeats on COZI TV and remembered how I would pretend to run in slow motion and make the Bionic Sound when I hit something.

Since your user name is "ZICA", I guess you're the company producing these?

I remember doing the same thing as a kid. :) Yes, my company is producing the figures.

Not to be a nitpicker but they aren't 3 3/4 SCALE. They're 3 3/4", yes?

(very cool by the way, but I wiah Wave 1 was the 2nd Venus Probe)

Will masketron have interchangeable heads? Femmebots with no faces? And best of all, a Mission to Mars Colonel Austin?

Oops! It should be 3 3/4", thanks for pointing that out. Yes, the plan is for Maskatron to have interchangeable faces and Fembots with removable faces. There are variants planned for the Steve Austin character but I'm not sure if Mission to Mars will be one of them.

There a site called "Joecustoms" that is dedicated to GI Joe:ARAH (and other 1/18 scale figures) that has a thread about your figures. I'm sure they'd love to hear from you:

Thanks for the info but I think I'll just lurk over there. Seems like most of the posters don't like the concept and really don't understand what I'm trying to do with the line. Oh well, you can't please everybody.

Big Bad Toy Store is taking preorders! The special promo set will only be available until 07/31/13. After that time retailers will have the choice to charge a higher price for the variant figure. Please support this line!

I love these. They look just like what Kenner would have done-- which I assume was kind of the goal.

When will we see the packaging for them? I have high hopes that it will be awesomely retro and Kenner styled.

I've also reported on them on my blog. http://toynewsnetwork.blogspot.com/search/label/zica

Yes, the master plan was to have these look like you stepped back in time to an alternate universe where Kenner actually made this line. I'm still waiting on the character illustrations to be finished for the packaging but hopefully I'll be able to reveal it very soon. Yes, it will definitely have a retro Kenner vibe to it. :)

Thanks for helping to get the word out, I really appreciate it!
