Hey I thought that I would share my latest custom weapon mod. I am planing to make a marine sniper and finished up the weapon. Any comments are welcome.

Here is what you will start with a standard HT M40a3

Here is what I changed:
1. Cut the barrel and add a new extended barrel or suppresser
2. Add forward rails, there are several styles that will work. I have used the two most common that I have found.
3. Add a Night Vision Scope just to look cool
4. Add a rail for the bipod, I have seen them with and without the rail here so either way is probably fine.
5. Cut out a slot for the magazine and add a magazine
6. Add a magazine release tab (I think that is what it is)
7. Give the bolt a more round egg shape
8. Turn the bolt around so it tilts to the rear of the gun instead of to the front. You may need to shave off a little of the bolt to get it to fit.

If I forgot anything please let me know as I would like to get this a accurate as possible.

That's really cool.

It just occured to me, I didn't ask what magazine you used.

I used a cut down magazine from a BS L1A1 for the tan one and a modified Dragon L96A1 magazine for the green one.

That alone is pretty impressive. You've outstripped HotToys' originals by far. This is a really handsome firearm, in both 1/1 and 1/6.
