Anybody tried that already and has some good advices and tipps? I dont wanna just glue the scope on the rifle, id like to have a springfield style mountbase or something similiar. Its not for a Aimpoint/Eotech which i could just slap onto a rail on the heatshield its for a Leupold Style Scope which i want to attach over the ejection port like it would be on a M21, since its a DML one and the only one i got i dont wanna ruin it :nerd
Got two 21st M14s on the way but these will end up as Socom16s, so they wont be a big problem.

thanks in advance, maybe pics of different real steel mounts would help too (if they are used for scopes and not reflex sights)

Hell yeah, go for it! Between plastic and Sculpey/Milliput, it shouldn't be too bad.
