Do you use just any kind of sewing machines for making small clothes or I need to get something in particular?

i use a standard consumer model, i think its a sears kenmore. just avoid the cheep portable models.

learning to adjust the stitch width, thread tension & bobbin tension can be important on small clothes. Also practice watching the scribe marks on the plate under the needle to keep track of how wide your hems are.
