"FOR SALE IN HONG KONG & JAPAN ONLY"
What? ... NO ... NO ... NO ... NO ... NO ... NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! Why God must you screw us so? First you take away the regular Joker figure from the TDK 6" line up and now you deny us one of the best looking figures this year? I demand someone's head be served on a pike for such stupidity! I can't even describe how incredibly pissed off I am right now, I've been waiting for two years for the incredible TDK swag (of which I keep getting denied mind you) and all this royal sh!te about being region specific? You gotta be f^cking kidding me?!?
Hey great way to screw the fans you bunch of sorry suns-a-b!tches! I would've paid the outrageous price for this one, I would have, but I'm sorely tempted to opt out of the whole gorram affair and say "Jog On" to the whole lot of the entire load of crap (movie included). ... ... Well maybe not the movie.

IS Hot Toys playing a JOKE on us? How can it be available only in Japan and Hong Kong !?
What happens to the rest of us in other parts of the world? Subjected to price brutality on Evilbay???
I m now in a deranged state of mind...

'Tis a little odd for sale in HK & Japan only...great looking figure but if that's the case I won't be getting one. Absolutely refuse to pay the almost clownish prices these will go for if the release is indeed limited to the orient.

That's no different than their other Batman or any figure that hasn't been distributed by Sideshow.
You'll have to order from import shops that get them and ebay.
No different.

I just said this over in the batman (original suit) thread-
I'm sure HT would love to put these out in the US and Europe. But it did say-
FOR SALE IN HONG KONG & JAPAN ONLY
They even put it in capital letters, so this must be the 'official' line.
I'm gonna guess, and this is just a guess, that some good etailers in the US and Europe will secure some. The fact Mattel and DC direct have the the North American 1/6 rights, coupled with SST relationship with Marvel (and SST of course being the US HT distributor) mean this is going to be a tough find for some just used to ordering from SST.
But if you're willing to do some on line searching you'll find them, and I'd say it's one to pre-order, and fast!

And precisely why I don't own any HT pieces that haven't been officially distributed here in the US...I already spend too much on this hobby (lol!). Needs to be emphasized that this isn't HT's fault...as Wookster's pointed out I'm sure that they (HT) would love to distribute these pieces Stateside...but conflicts of interest are obviously keeping that from happening. Great figs HT. Also Wookster, many thanks for sharing the great pics in this and Bats thread!

I love this figure, and now that I've cooled down a bit from the initial deranged reactions to the news that it probably won't be released stateside ... I have to say unless it's set for an incredibly cheap price so that us American Collectors can get it, I'm just going to have to miss this and spend money on the inadequate(sp?) DC Direct figure.
I spent the incredibly outrageous price for Enterbay's Bruce Lee WOD figure, but only because I'm a huge Lee fan, and he's been dead since '78 (I think, I don't like to think about his death so much as his life). But I'm really torn here, with this figure, I could always try to get my hands on a Takara Batman (so the new HT figure isn't on my radar), however this Joker is just superb. I guess I'll just have to wait and see.

I sprang for the Joker ... I'm a sucker for a purple jacket, and I just know that Heath's performance in TDK is going to be incredible.

Just Pre ordered my Joker and Batman.... This Joker figure is amazing and just too good to pass up. I haven't really been much of a Heath Ledger fan in the past but saw some scenes from TDK last night and I have to say that i'm very excited about his perfomance in this film!
