When shopping for 1:6 scale parts online...
...do you ever find the 1:1 item for much less money? It seems some items like EMT shears, shemaghs, and sometimes even uniform items pop up in my searches for less money than the 1:6 counterpart over and over.
Has anyone else ever noticed this? What sort of items did you find the originals for at better prices than the scaled down versions?

I bought an USMC frog uniform for 24, when compared to COOmodel's uniform price, my mind was shocked beyond belief

Nomex gloves!
I've bought several 1/1 pairs on ebay cheaper than Soldier Story's 1/6 version which promptly burst as soon as I tried to put them on a pair of 1/6 hands!

I paid $32 for a headless Enterbay body, and just recently got a 1/1 version for much cheaper.

That's really funny.
Only as long as you're kidding, though.

it is crazy to buy female 1/6 heads or bodys from HOT TOYS like Angelica or Babydoll for 70-120 Dollar - when you can buy female mannequins for my WW2 female uniform collection 1/1 for about 50-60 Dollar

Use Barbie heads from Mattel. Some are quite attractive and GI Joe prefers them to the typical faces found on female action figures.

I found that out on WWII American helmets. Someone was making them out of metal in 1:6 for about $70 to $80. A real one runs about the same.
Shows what we are will to pay in our hobby.

A $10 shirt where you can get 5 t-shirts for $10? Yeah.
How some stores mark up prices for loose items can be disgusting; but hey, that's the name of the game.

Re: When shopping for 1:6 scale parts online...
1:1 scale butane flip-top lighter- $5 on eBay
1:6 scale bit of small plastic that resembles a flip-top lighter- $7 or more
This is one reason I like, but not love, this hobby... the sheer cost of it. I also tend to find actual clothes at a local thrift store for a fraction of what their 1:6 counterpart costs.
