Obviously a recast of the EB RM-4 sans the neck.

The only thing custom about it is the horrible paint job on a decent EB hs. This is an easy pass.......

Re: Custom 1/6 Matt Damon Head
Paintjob is terrible. I have a feeling it is going for 40 USD like the Robin head... Glad I can still find the older and better looking Loading Toy's set for a lot less money.

Re: Custom 1/6 Matt Damon Head
KG are a great store, but, I can't help feeling they are doing themselves a disservice by stocking items that are so obviously recasts of other companies work. If they keep it strictly legit they could be a much better retailer.

Tsk Tsk. I wish they hadn't tried to pass this stuff here. At least not claim it to be a custom.

Re: Custom 1/6 Matt Damon Head
I am sorry, anyone tell me the actual meaning (or difference) between the terms "recast" and "custom"?

Hope this helps…
The word custom –“usually singular in construction”. For our 1/6 world would means one of a kind, or in this case, someone who sculpted this head from scratch.
The word recast- means taking someone else’s work and re using it, in this case all they did was copy it (casting it in what ever material they are using, resin, plastic etc.)
Re-casting is usually frowned upon...

Re: Custom 1/6 Matt Damon Head
To me, a 'custom' is a one off or limited run item which isn't widely distributed.
A recast is a copy of someone else's work which shouldn't ever be distributed in the way it is here.
Cutting the neck off an original sculpt by another manufacturer and then selling casts of it does NOT make it a custom. It would only be that if the purchaser of the original sculpt did it for their own personal use.
Kato, the clothing you create is custom, somebody else copying that and selling it would be like recasting.
CHEERS!

Re: Custom 1/6 Matt Damon Head
I don't see Damon in that sculpt with any stretch of my imagination.........and I would be hard pressed to say who I did see......not familiar at all.......

The sculpt makes it look like he kinda stroked out a bit.
