Help Finding SOG Book EDITED W/ ADDED REQUESTS
To my fellow SOG/Nam guys,
I'mtrying to track down this book:
“SOG Team History and Insignia of a Clandestine Army V2” by Jason Hardy.
Specifically, I am interested in the following picture, perhaps someone with the book can scan and post........
From Modern Forces website, from interview with RT NY Man Ed Wolcoff:
"After my first couple of missions, I abandoned the issue rucksack in favor of lighter gear - - and did not do so on the mission cited. Look at pages 225 and 226 of Jason Hardy’s book “SOG Team History and Insignia of a Clandestine Army V2”. The harness consisted of nylon cloth with two straps to retain the bed roll, and top strapping (with Velcro as I recall) to attach the harness to the web gear suspenders. Both John and I adapted the harness with a claymore ∏-pouch. We were constantly working to improve/adapt our LBE. After I became “1-0”, I abandoned the harness for what we referred to as a butt or fanny pack - - I needed more cargo carrying capacity".
Thank you for any help.

Re: Help Finding SOG Book
That looks like the rig Wolcoff described. I know he took after his One-Zero, perhaps you'd be good with this?

Re: Help Finding SOG Book
Yes it does seem to be the same.
I also found a website selling Vol. 1 & 2 of Hardy's books,
As well they are selling pre-orders for his next two.
They are up there in price, but when viewing the quality of material you will appreciate them in your SOG library.
Thanks gents.

Guys:
Anyone have a close-up pic of Ed Wolcoff's custom drum pouch for his RPD?
Thank You,

Re: Help Finding SOG Book EDITED W/ ADDED REQUESTS
I'd actually given that matter some thought LOL.
I'd recommend the PPSH ammo drum pouches from Soldier Story (swap the leather straps for webbing)

Or the DML Robert Davies drum mag pouches for the Lewis gun:
