World at War | WWII French Engineer Regiment 1940

Hi.
Here is my latest commission work made for a client that wanted to pay tribute to is father in law.
It's a trooper from the 11th Engineer Regiment in France in May 1940.
He is from a unit that was made of draft trooper and did not get the best equipments.
Most of them come from WWI.

Head from DID. Repaint with pastel.
Adrian 1915 type helmet by Sideshow. Engineer badge by Tony Barton. Leather sling.
Uniform, leather equipment, back pack, canteen, musette bag, puttee Custom.
Shoes Newline miniatures.
Carbine resine and metal by Raymond Boyer. Paint and leather sling custom work.
ANP 31 gaz mask bag heavily rework from Caltech one.

And yes they fought.

In 1940 during 5 weeks of heavy combats the French Army suffer 100 000 dead.
