Re: Hottoys : DX11 - The Dark Knight: 1/6th scale The Joker 2.0
I wonder if 10 years from now people will look back at all these HL Joker figures and scratch their heads and wonder what the fuss was all about with this particular impersonation of the character...
Oh well, glad all the fans out there are getting yet another figure of this.

I'm not sure but somehow his shoulders look too broad. Is it because of the jacket?
This looks great but I'm not that inclined to get it.

Re: Hottoys : DX11 - The Dark Knight: 1/6th scale The Joker 2.0
Very nice indeed. Love the expression on te 2nd head although something doesn't sit right with it....as I do not own any Joker figures, matter selling the first to make way for the DX but to bring able to afford the DX when it came out, job permitting, I will be getting this one. Very nice indeed. I will still look back in the future and say that Ledgers Joker is one of the best interpretations, and I will always wonder more why they are 50 versions of a predator than 3 of this.

Re: Hottoys : DX11 - The Dark Knight: 1/6th scale The Joker 2.0
I don't own any iteration of this figure so far, so my eyes may be playing games, AND I KNOW KATO MAKES AWESOME CLOTHES I HAVE SEEN HIS WORK PLENTY OF TIMES... but honestly, this doesn't look really worth a 2.0 for me. I mean, it's not bad, it's just not tons better than the last release I think is what I am saying. The 2nd head is pretty swift though, and it's a good looking release and all, and I know people will buy it, just I guess a little bummed this had as much time spent on it as it did when HT has other stuff still lingering in development that I'd rather see first.
So basically tl;dr WAH WAH WAH SOMETHING I WANT IS DIFFERENT THAN THE THING YOU WANT. Carry on, internet.

Nice. I know it's just a proto, but the laughing head's teeth are really well done.
I'm kind of impressed. I have Bale Batman SDCC11 version, so I may get this. Ledger Joker DX with Kato clothes! We'll see what the US price is tomorrow although I'm sure it will be cheaper than getting Kato clothes as a custom.

Now that's what I'm talking about! That's the ultimate TDK Joker right there. Never mind the rooted hair.

the new head sculpt seems ok, doesn't seem better than DX 01, but the laughing head is amazing.

Re: Hottoys : DX11 - The Dark Knight: 1/6th scale The Joker 2.0
If it's $199, which it won't be, then I would be in for this. I do like the clothes and the 2nd head, but the overcoat is kind of overkill, since it would cover up the body which you really want to show off. However it does come with that pencil.....

Yeah, that laughing head is really nice.
Even loose parts for this will be astronomical though.

Re: Hottoys : DX11 - The Dark Knight: 1/6th scale The Joker 2.0
I'm a huge fan of Ledger as the Joker. However, as much as I wanted a "knock out" punch from this 2.0 Joker, I wasn't impressed. Kato, recieved a contract with Hot Toys, he truely deserved the reconition. But to milk another Joker from the fans, come on... ZIPCOOLO, plus inform Mr. Howard Chan he's not a friend of the average, loyal 1/6 HT collector. I no longer can afford to pay for an average figure over $200. I'm very disappionted how expensive it has become. It's a shame. IMO.

Re: Hottoys : DX11 - The Dark Knight: 1/6th scale The Joker 2.0
The 2nd head sculpt might do it for me... depending on the price. Honestly, I'm happy with my Bank Robber and DX 1.0. The table and laughing sculpt is hard to resist though. The DX line is supposed to be the best, now we've seen a DX 2.0 which means that it will never stop. I guess, us collectors who already own other versions should at least think this as a chance for other collectors who were not able to get past versions because either their new in the collection game or just could not afford prices before (perhaps they lost their job or still a student before). If this costs $ 210 all in, then I'll get it for sure.
(I would happy though if HT would release another Dark Knight DX 2.0, this time with complete suit for Bruce as I deliberately missed DX 2 because I already own the Fatman version. A Ninja Bruce would also be welcome, as well as Scarecrow 2.0, and of course Alfred.)
Anyone realize that HT seems to do a lot of tables this days? Mark 2 Armor Unleashed, and now Joker DX 2.0. HT might produce Vito Corleone 2.0 with Kato's tailoring and with a table down the road.

I like the normal ver2 headscuplt, but not sure about the laughing head, just something about it...Does he looks a bit thin or something?
Anyway, I wonder how to get the "exclusive items". I hope not just for Sideshow again...

Love the figure itself.
The only problem I have is with the inclusion of the table, it's gonna mean that the box is gonna be huge like the superman and Indy ones were.

Re: Hottoys : DX11 - The Dark Knight: 1/6th scale The Joker 2.0
Just my observation, I think from this period on we're going to see HT presenting more "scenic" facial captions taking directly from a stanza/scene from movies. Both HS from 2.0 appears to take place directly from the "interegation". I like these intense facial expression much more than say, "blank stare" we're accustomed to from 1/6 figures. It's a brilliant design, imo, but requires much, much more skill from the artist. It's no wonder this piece is demanding DX $$. The more I scrutinize the HS the more I'm blown away. So I take back what I said. This figure is a "knock out".

Re: Hottoys : DX11 - The Dark Knight: 1/6th scale The Joker 2.0
Sideshow wants $275 for this one. Don't like the cloth shoes, they look like 1:1 suede.
Main headsculpt very similar to first DX release, second will be $100+ on ebay right out of the gate.
Not really seeing close to $300 for this, when they hit the ball out of the park with the DX one already and corrected the head with the Bank Robber joker release for the first figure.
I think many will opt for the $150 version...aka: the smiling head and some doll furniture in 1/6 scale for their table scene...
