Just from that one pic I'd say Enterbay has the better likeness.
Not that I car either way, I won't be buying this, but it'll be great to see more pics!

^However the 1st pic looks like an older Arnold in T2 with the gargoyle glasses of T1 Arnold

It's T1 alright, by the title used. Going for T2 would be too blatant a response to EB.

Re: Hot Toys unveil sneak peak at 1/4 scale T800 from T2

^It's meant to be T1...but the sculpt has the higher forehead of T2's Arnold and eyebrows (and more wrinkles)... which goes to show that HT put glasses on a T2 Arnold sculpt and labeled it as T1.

T1 Arnold at that point in the movie has no eyebrows...

HT could have just put Gargoyle glasses on a DX10 figure... (In fact both pics could be 1/6th scale, just to counter EB) and claimed it as a 1/4 scale T1.

Petty/Spiteful HT

Re: Hot Toys unveil sneak peak at 1/4 scale T800 from T2

So Hot Toys decides to finally make one of my most anticipated versions of Arnie...and they do it in 1/4! Ahhh! I am legitimately torn on this one. It makes it very tempting to go back and get the EB 1/4 Arnie too.

Looks awesome but it's way out of my league. Will stick with my 1/6 HT endo.

Enterbay's 1/4th side of the head/hair looks weird. Poofy like a bald guy trying to compensate by growing out the back of his hair. If it wasn't for that, I would have purchased it.

I don't want 1/4! I want a 1/6 Endo!

I also agree, this is nice...but we want a 1/6 Police Assault T1 figure (official one, not one we cobble together) and we want a re-release of the T800 Endoskeletons in 1/6. damnit.

Re: Hot Toys unveil sneak peak at 1/4 scale T800 from T2

There is some chatter that the 1/4 endoskeleton shown may be redressed from another company's and photoshopped so they can respond to/preem EB, hence the description "containing some metal parts", i.e., depending on how much metal EB's Endo version contains, we will decide then.

Some Toysdaily users claimed that HT set the precedent with their Robocop teaser pics (they claimed it was another company's Robocop toy photoshopped in). I also remember the Ironman docking stations teaser pics HT put out what, one or two days after some independent shop created a lot of buzz with the same docking station last year, and my first reaction back then was they photoshopped it. My only hope now is that the fighting actually means better and cheaper products for collectors...we'll see.

Terminator fanatics are so full w/ these announcements. Afraid I might have to pass on these monsters as 1/4th will be too much for me already.

There no official product announcement yet, even after there's at least 6 months or more...

on the other hand EB has already released 2xT800s in 1/4....

Metal and wood like enterbay does? Or will this all be plastic?
