DAK Zombie
Respectively - WIP thread 1 and 2 are also available.
Hitler and the Thule Society are going to be P*SSED!
What did Panzergruppe Afrika Übernatürliche Abteilung find in the middle of the Libyan desert?
Why is a Camera Operator the only "surviving" member of that expeditionary force?
Why does he seem to be shambling listlessly towards "home"?
Wait! He's not just a horribly weatherbeaten, blistered and sun-stroked NAZI! He, or rather, IT is a... (shudder) NAZI ZOMBIE!
WHAT COULD POSSIBLY HAVE HAPPENED?
Maybe clues can be found in the Arriflex II held in its deathgrip?
Perhaps something in the Leica around its neck?
It's just the beginning and it's only going to get worse!
Don't get bit folks!
Ladies & Gentleman, i present to you my first 1/6 custom kitbash - the leathery, weather-beaten and sun-blistered DAK ZOMBIE "Der Harbinger". It's early morning in the Libyan Sahara and it's already HOT-HOT-HOT.

The figure itself is awesome. The photography, especially the vintage looking Ones are stunning.

Very cool. You should make more Nazi Zombies and related figures like OSS Agents hunting the responsible parties.

Re: DAK ZOMBIE "der harbinger" 1943 COMPLETED (heavy pics)
Very nicely done!
My only suggestion would be less gloss in the mouth. In the heat of the desert, any liquid would dry up so the inside of his mouth would be matt in finish.
CHEERS!

i wanted to have two more (alive) DAK soldiers in the shoot. one clasping his neck to stop the bloody bite from bleeding out and a second soldier trying to hold the zombie at gunpoint in a horrified defensive posture.
they were to be part of a recovery team looking for this group of soldiers lost in the desert.
too many ideas, too little moolah!

thank you sir. it was a fun and semi-educational experience! i'd like to eventually pick up a few more DAK figures for bashing when funds permit.
this is my first figure from the company DiD. i must say, their quality is really top-notch!

thank you!
i have trouble writing actual stories, as i'm no writer at all.
i'm glad you picked up on the "what's in the camera?" gimmick and also the idea of a lone harbinger of the upcoming apocalypse shambling towards what it vaguely remembers as "home". Like i mentioned to rogerbee, i would've liked to have nailed that precise moment where the zombie (created by an unknown, perhaps supernatural means), is discovered by a recovery team, bites a member of said team and the cycle begins...
...sort of like a ground zero sort of moment.
apologies for rambling

Yeah, nice get around, fresh blood would still be moist! Good to know that you're thinking things through. It keeps things fresh and a step above the rest.
