Tease: Will BBI be next to produce 1:6 MultiCam figure?
Ciao from Rome, Italy.
I've seen on Merit site one shot of NYtoy fair 2007 and it seems like BB is ready to go with something near to Blackwater uniform, desert and woodland!!I don't konw much about blacwater uni, if is an experimental, a private productios, a future uni of usa forces, but that is.
I hope this new, becouse I really don't like ACU pattern and something new sholud be beautiful.
Do you more? Giancarlo

Hot crap in a hand sack!
Looks like a completed version of the Multicam figure we've seen floating around for a year or two now.
I really like the ACU version they have next to him too.
Anyways...
For the original poster (too lazy to find out name)
the... "Blackwater Uniform" you speak of is actually Crye Precisions attempt at the future warrior uniform. It's called Crye Multicam. Right now it's nothing more then a private purchase gig and has yet to be adopted by any branch.

And thank you.

Been there, done that. This proto has been seen by many for over a year now....and it's still just a one off.
If they made it I'd buy it, but hey...it's merit so don't get all wet and flustered just yet.

Thanks for answer and sorry for my english language.
It will be only a private attempt, Solid Snake, but I like very much Multicam PMC and if BB'll be sell a figure with an uniform like this, I'll buy more than one for kitbashing, sure more than ACU, that in my opinion is look like a urban pattern rather than a uniform good for desert Iraq, Afghanistan or tropical use!
Anyway, USA military command have decide taht ACU is good for all use, and I continue to see on TV reportage or shots from Iraq soldiers in ACU in a very strange grey color with all sand colors in the back, but it's only a my opinion.
Yes, Hardcase01, it's Merit shot, I understand waht you mean, but do you note as on other sites (like figures.com, sideshowcollectibles) their rewiews on toy fair 2007 show only the part of display with BBI Ann Ester and Rosanna John in ACU. Is it strange or it was only a bad photo?

HMMM . . .
Possibly. I honestly thought BBI's anniversary figure would be a redux/reissue of "Slick" from a year or so back, but oh, well . . .
If the multi-cam SF operator is the anniversary figure, then that'll be cool too.

Hmmm... something tells me this one will sell quickly, if it's ever released.
The Crye-style uniform in ACU is kind of interesting too.

I hope it's not an anniversary figure...BBI charges alot for them..and lately..they haven't really been worth the $95plus...so hopefully this will be like BBI Barney..it was spotted then eventually went into production a few months after..and I do want "Slick" figure still too...

Looks to be a nice figure if they include all the Crye Gear for OFW. The Crye Carbine is a really nice touch. The reason for the ACU version of the Crye uniform is because of GRAW II having all the Crye gear redone in ACU.
Now this is what I was talking about with BBI looking to hopefully offer something of value for our money. I look forward to seeing these figures.

That caseless carbine is a nice touch. OK, so it's just a concept design and not a real weapon but it would be fun to equip a few figures with them.
I'd like to see one of these guys carrying a SCAR as well.
Something tells me that either or both weapons would be fairly short-lived at retail and probably relatively expensive from the parts sellers. Oh well....

Yeah, let's not all get our hopes up just yet.
bbi/Merit love to display stuff that we would love to have but will probably never be made.
Case in point-- WOH 2005:

Ugly Weapon
You do know that the weapon is ficticious? The one in the photo is the prototype. Its actually unpainted and comes in a resin material that is semi flexible but still captures a lot of detail. Though I would sell the weapon, I was impressed with the overall quality.

Yep... It's just gotta work as intended. The beauty is in the ability.
Honestly, as far as caseless rifles go, I think the MR-C is still more attractive and less bulky than the H&K G11. At any rate, it's really just a prop designed by Crye to give people an idea of some of the concepts being studied for the Future Combat System (or whatever they're calling it this week).

It'll be done.
They've put too many feet in the water to turn back now.
Multiple purchases here baby!
Haven't done that since "Raider".
"Slick" was a tease............. yes.
Nasty

Looks good. But how will it hold up against Kingship's Multicam clad warrior? :P
Just kidding, looks like a great release, and if anything, great kitbash fodder.
Actually.. I don't think that rifle has been painted yet, it looks like molded plastic still. Nice talking HS though.
