Hello!
Happy New Year~!
I want to say hello to you guys here!
Please be happy every day in this year! ^-^
For the past year, I have done quite a lot of sculpting and art direction works, but I think my sculpting is not good enough.^^ So today in 2012, I want to start again and do my job better and better.
For the most interesting works last year, number one is Jack Nicholson’s Joker.
This character is very funny and has a devil face. When I sculpt this kind of head, I must need to think two points: one is Jack Nicholson’s normal face before make-up; another one is Joker’s face after make-up.
If we only check the face after make-up, it is not good enough because it may only look like Joker, but not Jack Nicholson. So I check both normal and make-up faces very carefully when I do this job. And I got this idea after making Heath Ledger’s Joker head sculpt long time ago.
A quite funny thing is that - when I work, my face is always smiling like Joker.
Please imagine. It’s really very funny, right? haha
I have tried my best as I want to make it perfect.
Please enjoy the Jack Nicholson’s Joker which will be coming soon and give me good advices.
Besides, last year, I went to the U.S. and Taiwan and met a lot of our fans.
I am very happy about that. With fans’ support, I am really happy and relaxed, and I want to do more good works for fans.
In Seoul, I always feel lonely and have a hard time in my small working room.
In Korea, actually I don’t have a chance to meet our fans.
This year, if I have a chance, I want to meet more of our fans from Korea and different countries.
You guys always give me good advices and I can feel the love around me, which is a very big power for me! ^_^
Once again, Happy New Year everyone~!
This year I will try my best and do more better head sculpts for our fans.

I wonder if Yulli would revisit the Prison Break line. I know the series already ended and that the last 2 seasons were really bad, but the first 2 seasons are really good. I remember having read somewehre that Yulli wants to redo the Prison Break line. I hope HT does since EB cancelled theirs.

I find it a little surprising, considering the body of work she's turned out, that she doesn't think her work is good enough. Most of us would kill to be even half as good.
The majority of her work that that I've seen has been among the best that HT have produced. If she thinks she's capable of doing better then I can't wait to see it. It's just a shame that, with HT prices, the vast majority of it won't be seen first hand, by me at any rate.
Talent and beauty eh, quite a combo....

Yulli, her own physical beauty notwithstanding, is probably HT's best sculptor, which is why she's one of the artistic team leaders along with JC and project leader for so many figs.

Can you give some pointers to other heads than the Joker sculpt she has done?
I agree though, the talent is massive judging from the Joker sculpt. |

Good eye, but single attractive women in the public eye are also known to wear fake wedding bands to fend off unwanted advances...there is still hope you singles out there!!!

Not my type, great skills though.
Did i get this right, she's employed by Hot toys but works from home? So she sculpts and then sends the stuff to Hong Kong/China? Odd. I always figured Hot Toys would keep their employees in their company headquarter.

I only discovered Yulli when the HT T-800 came out.
An amazing talent.
I consider her the most gifted HS artist to date.
So young...
Hopefully that translates into a plethora of art works for many years to come.
