The real M79 grenade carrier vest does have open bottom pouches for the 40mm rounds but I don't think the rounds are supposed to sit so low and be exposed like they are in the photos of this figure.

Most of us ?
Sorry man, I see your point but this isn't just another US Military Action Figure, it is a "Black Hawk Down" figure one of the best war movies ever made, I think most of us have been waiting for properly made figures of this movie/conflict/time .
Once I again, I think you have a point, but this is the wrong post for it, I dont think most of us would change this series of figures for figures of Israeli, German, Belgian, Russian, and the like forces.

I am still wating for the other figure to come out, I need the buttpack and such. Also, need the grenade vest badly, hope they will be out soon and parted too. XD

I spy Shugart and Gordon inspired figures . These look really nice, espcially the grenade vest.

I agree. This is something I've been waiting for for a looong time. At the current time, I'm not really thinking about anything but Black Hawk Down.

Not really. The long pouches for illum rounds in the top row appeared after 1973, and the number of pouches on the bottom row (six per side) is wrong (should be five.)
It is a beautiful figure though, and the rate of production gives me hope that the D-Boys are going to start being previewed by winter. I'm probably going to get Shughart and Gordon.

Thanks for the headsup but I think it still suitable for a Vietnam bash.
Maybe you can remove the sixth pouches and put it on the middle row.
Just a thought.

Thanks for the heads up on the text for some reason my formatting didn't take affect on the bottom paragraph. I'm not sure where you get the $35 price increase from though. It costs money to ship these in, paypal takes 4% on my payment as well as yours and then I ship them to you. It's the cost of doing business. I am willing to offer a discount for those who pre-order through me though and have put the item on sale for the next 3 weeks only. Thanks for checking out my store!
