I prefer this version to the baby blue one, sword looks interesting.

Re: New from 3R-Hermann Göring 2nd Edition & Gift Set
I'd rather have a Tojo than another Goering. It kindof pains me to see the amount of attention, development and detail paid to the 3R subjects over the more conventional soldiers, and then to have this many variations and goodies produced for only one figure over covering a wider variety of subjects is a tad disappointing. There aren't many things in this figure one can use for bashes, and who needs multiple Goerings?
That said, 3R does awesome work. I just want more awesome new releases.

Re: New from 3R-Hermann Göring 2nd Edition & Gift Set
Are those collar tabs correct? I thought they were supposed to have crossed batons on them but I'm not up on all of Herman's insignia.

Re: New from 3R-Hermann Göring 2nd Edition & Gift Set
Your actually getting a choice of insignia with both figures...the other figure features both versions of Reichmarshall collar tabs....this one looks as though it includes the General Feldmarshall collar tabs, i think the batons are there but the photos are not very clear...i would have liked to have seen the Kliener rock pants in dark blue with white stripes along with his dark blue marshalls baton.....i guess you can't have everything.
The sheer number of Goring's uniforms leaves him open for a re-visit at some point in the future for 3R, he also wore a white summer uniform and the S.A uniform...there's also the famous photo of him wearing the stahlheim with the skull and crossbones painted on it..when it came to uniforms Goring was the Third Reich's answer to Napoleons Marshall Joachim Murat.

I for one wouldn't mind having a few soldiers in spiked helmets and gaudy uniforms sitting on the shelf!

I agree!! Some ww1 erA figs would be amazing

Re: New from 3R-Hermann Göring 2nd Edition & Gift Set
Well, that does it - I'm getting the 2nd Edition instead of the first one. The sword is awesome, the ring is cool, the cape is nice, and the headsculpt is a million times better.

I like this one better. Very sharp looking navy uni.
I like the earlier rank insignia, although the uniform size makes it umlikely for any other subject but HG.

Great looking figure! I've ordered the 1st one and I'm going to get this too (don't tell my wife pls). I love to have the gift set because the cup is so detail and the stamp is interesting. Keep up the good work 3R!

Re: New from 3R-Hermann Göring 2nd Edition & Gift Set
i dont think its worth buying the two figs just for those two items. also they should have released them at the same time cos i'd be well pissed off if i'd ordered the first one and then four weeks after the better one comes out!
i'm definitely getting this one, or maybe i'll wait just in case they release another one!

Re: New from 3R-Hermann Göring 2nd Edition & Gift Set
I'm glad they listened (not to me I suppose) and made the straight pants.... It's a pity they didn't include the white visor cap, altought it can be custom made easy, (well not that easy,but....)
And yes , I was the one asking which 'Star' was that award, I saw many pre-war pictures of him with that star....
I hope they'll make Lutze, or Perhaps a Heer Feldmarshall..... that would please both people who want personalities and more generic uniforms... a FeldMarshall or even a new rommel might have a choice of traditional uniforms that can be used for many generals.....also a good generic officer, Oberst maybe, can be done through Did which the typical garments of an officer, like quality Greatcoat, a summer heer tunic, dress unifrom or straight leg hosen,,,,, many options !

Looks to me a conversion of the Donitz visor would do the job here.
--If it fits, that is...there's a major size variation in DiD hat fits lately, even with hats from the same figure. A couple of my Goebbels hats (for example) won't even go on his head!
But, I digress--Donitz visor, for Hermann the Germann.

Is it just me or those this excellent headsculpt look more like the actor Denholm Elliot (Markus Brody from Indiana Jones films). Really loving the headsculpt, the whole figure is great.

I'm awaiting a reply from 7toys7 to find out if he's going to honour the gift set deal....i already ordered and received the light blue version from him so i'm hoping he's 100% with the deal.

Stick him up, CB! We want some close ups of fatty in his poof uniform! A mini-review would just go down a treat at this juncture.
And excuses about inability to upload pics will be treated very harshly indeed.

Re: New from 3R-Hermann Göring 2nd Edition & Gift Set
LOL's...yeah,the photo thing is a bit of a challenge for me i'm afraid to say...but... i did post a couple of photos out of the box in one of the 3R HG threads...i'm back and forward from work at the moment...good to be busy so no complaints about that...besides i have to save for the next HG figure and the possible future release of 3R's Martin Bormann (i'm sure they have taken notice of your request's Steve....have you sent 3R any uniform details for MB ?.....bit of a short tubby as well was'nt he?).

Re: New from 3R-Hermann Göring 2nd Edition & Gift Set
I hope so! All I've told them is he wants grey SS uniform and brown NSDAP...no details. Yep, chubby chap--my current (bashed) ones have sponge stuffed inside the tunics. Well the brown one has...grey one too tight.
Any difficulty with posting pics are soluble....

Re: New from 3R-Hermann Göring 2nd Edition & Gift Set
I would work up some photos/reference material Stevie and send it on to them...i dont have much on Reichsleiter Bormann.....he was made a Reichsleiter between June-October 1933 that much i do know.
Chelseaboy.
PS.Hmmmm, having a problem getting 7Toys7 to understand i have already bought the first Goring and wanted to make sure when i buy the second one i get the gift set...and that's after attatching the Paypal invoice for the first figure....i shall persist.....ahh,good news they agreed, cant wait to order No.2.
