Nice headsculpt. I don't see Mel Gibson there, but nice headsculpt nonetheless.

Re: Ner from Wild Work - Darkness Cop

It looks like the work of the same sculptor who did that Toys City Fallschirmjaeger. The one that looks like it was supposed to look like Brad Pitt but really didn't. I'm sure the cross-eyed look they both have helps to invite that comparison as well.

I never would have guessed that was Gibson. I thought it was a poorly done Deniro. Outfit is decent but I wouldn't spend money on a cross-eyed head sculpt.

Yeah, I thought it was a badly-done Deckard at first, from the first pic with the coat. Never would have guessed Gibson either.

There's shades of Bruce Campbell there. Decent outfit though. The coat would work for a Highlander bash.

CHEERS!

I never guessed Mel Gibson... I thought it was the illegitimate offspring of Robert DeNiro and Bruce Willis.

I think everyone is basing it on the similarity between the first pic and the poster for heart of darkness, he also wore a similar suit and overcoat in that movie

Re: New from Wild Work - Darkness Cop

At first I thought it was yet another attempt at John Hartigan from Sin City, probably cuz the sculpt looks just like the cross-eyed Bruce Willis head I've seen, haha. Have to say, I wouldn't mind a GOOD Mel Gibson sculpt...

Re: New from Wild Work - Darkness Cop

Doesn't look anything like Mel Gibson.

But considering that guy's public and private behavior, that's probably for the best.

Still, it's a really strange theme to cover. I'd rather see any other cop, future or past, than that one. Never even saw the movie...

Re: New from Wild Work - Darkness Cop

I'd get this set in a heart beat. It has no resemblance to Mel Gibson in my eyes, but would make an EXCELLENT generic detective, and I like that idea better actually.

that sculpt looks like the soldier story head from one of the recent sets. doesnt look like mel though. hopefully this is not an $80+ figure. i'd probably get it if it was around $50 or so

Re: New from Wild Work - Darkness Cop

Store Rooms has pre-order up for 84 bucks, but that is including their "free shipping" service. If it is around 70 bucks or so even I might get this. I really like the look of it for some reason.

Re: New from Wild Work - Darkness Cop

I saw the prototype. The outfit is actually nice but it remains to be seen on a mass production level. The head quality on the prototype is VERY GOOD and it was "inspired" by MG's EoD movie but modified to prevent C&Ds...

Its not like Mel is a happy camper these days, along with the likes of Charlie Sheen! What is up with all these actors freaking out anyways?

I agree. I thought it was Deniro with Bruce Willis' hair. (Okay, when Bruce had hair. )

The sculpt is quite ugly IMO. He's badly crossed-eyed too.
