Hmm better headsculpt than the hot toys attempt though I think the chin may be throwing it off. If you cover his chin it seems to be a great pitt sculpt. The bicycle is pretty cool as well. Could see this having uses beyond its intended subject.

I might just get this.
Is this only the second French Resistance guy in 1/6th (the first being Action Man or GI Joe)?

Nicely done,
I don't care that it doesn't fully look like Brad Pitt, I think it's a great sculpt and one I definitely will keep an eye out for. It's amusing that it's a 'Christmas Special' and won't actually be out till March.

Re: New from DID-French Resistance (DID 2010 X'mas Special)
Superb....for years requests for a French Resistance figure have been ignored by another 1/6th manufacturer....DID are really on a roll, this past year has probably been their best yet...i'm hoping we might see a companion figure from the opposition...DID producing a "Hans" SD officer Resistance hunter figure would be a real bonus,"Pierre" is most certainly on my list for the new year.

Very nice indeed. Think I may get this. The bike is excellent with the working chain and pedals!! First the French Foreign Legionnaire and now a resistance fighter!

I couldn't agree more, besides it's not like they're saying it's Aldo Raine is it?
I also thougt the same thing about the March release
I think this a way more attractive set than the licenced HT one, apart from the obvious inclusion of the bike, the weapons look far superior. I'm guessing you'll probablly get more for your buck too

Re: New from DID-French Resistance (DID 2010 X'mas Special)
I couldn't aggree more that it is a nice hs and a great figure after all. But why do we have to stick around the same character and chase our tail among companies? A little originality would do better

Re: New from DID-French Resistance (DID 2010 X'mas Special)
I think for my part , after an evident "basterd" look like, there is another inspiration : Daniel Craig in Defiance.
The leather jacket is in the same color (but not exactly the same cut) and he wears also a MP 40 pouch on a leather belt.
The pic showing the figure in the forest is, for me, a clear allusion to Daniel Craig.

What with this and the Naval Officer, with DiD's quality and diversity they have got me wanting figures I never thought I would ever want.
I think right now DiD are on fire!

I love it, don't know but that's the first molo I've ever seen in 1/6 but maybe others were produced. Anyway, start making french infantry from 1940 DID!

This is kind of cool. I wonder how well the HT head would work with this set. Hmmm...

Another boring face expression from DiD. Cool overall theme/figure though.

Re: New from DID-French Resistance (DID 2010 X'mas Special)
^I don't think that comment was necessary.
Nice figure from DiD's left field. I've been searching for the DML bike but I may as well wait for one of these, it looks marvelous. It recalls an instant Aldo inspiration but the Defiance angle is better supported by the items supplied, aside from the Bowie knife. I like it overall, another surprise hit from DiD as of recent
