HT's New TrueType female body - Review (applies to Black Widow and Jill Valentine)
Review: New TTF body review. Applies to Jill and Black Widow body.
Arms: Same shoulder socket as ( some) previous TTF females, thus compatible should you choose to switch arms, easier to pop these shoulders off. The arms can bend up to about 100 degrees. The elbow joints can easily taken out. It's like an enlarge wrist (or some HT ankle) joints.
Hip joints: Capable of 360 degrees twist only when the legs are move perpendicular to the body (split like, or the stick of the ball joint parallel to the leg). Almost all possible motion of the legs/hip is possible with the new arrangement. The hip socket of leg can completely turned around (as show with the bottom leg, in picture below). 3 screws are used at the upper thighs to holds the rotatable ball socket in-place. The blue box (in pic) shows the what I term "wings attachment to the fringe of the inner pelvis". I removed these "wings" to give the leg articulation more range.
Four screws hold the inner plastic Abdomen section, both ends are ball sockets joints. The top joint which is connected to the ball joint (stick -protruding, unmovable) of the upper torso has a wide range of approximately 45-50 degrees. The bottom ball joint (pic below, left) is actually connected to a short double ball stick (like double ball ankle joints of TT). The outer layer of the abdomen skin is glued to the inner abdomen section at the front and back. I peel back the back part to access the screws to tighten the screws (to make the abs hold firmer) and also allow a little more freedom to the rubber skin. The front rubber abs. part is still attached. (used evilalive's pic, upper torso).
For BW: The breast inserts are hard plastic, not actual round, but has oblong shape, quite unnatural to reposition or move them around. Later shipments have these hard inserts detached from the inner body (that was glued previously) and the pegs holding them were sanded down.
Pull back to reveal the double ball joint separating of the Abs/Pelvic region. There is not much range here due to the rather short double ball joint and it also being impeded by the rubber skin. You can twist, move forward and backward. Double ball joint (free range motion... I would say 30 degrees off-center at any given position). The front and back of the abdomen being glued to the skin does limit how much you can actually twist the abdomen. It does look realistic some-what by imitating stretching of the abdomen.
The balls of the hips. "The Wing" were removed (pic below). The balls covering where "the wings" are supposed to be attached to the hard plastic of inner pelvis.
Example of articulation range:
More ebay pics as ref. The thighs sandwiching the rotatable ball socket of the hips

Great job! That's how you do a review for a figure body. Thanks for not being a wimp, BeastX.

Nice review. Not into what they did with the arms, old design had way more movement. good to know they can be swapped.

Very helpful, thanks! I'm hoping to see a version of this body with seamless arms and legs.

Stamp! I'd love to upgrade Sheva Alomar to this body, especially since her existing arms could be used. I'd also like a darker AA skin tone than Sheva. I want lots of options, from very pale to very dark and everything in between. I would buy tons of these if they were available, this is the best female body from any manufacturer that I've seen to date.

Thanks! I was seriously considering only buying her head, I don't really care for her costume, but I think I'll go for the whole figure now.
Can you pop the regular body's feet into Black Widows' legs?

Not without some modding to fit it... whole lower legs replacement is also not possible (without modding) because of different knee joints used.

As much as i love BBI's Perfect Body, my AAPB girl SERIOUSLY needs an upgrade! (and a reroot, but one thing at a time! LOL) The ZC AA Eve (from the Walking Paradise figures) has too much of a gray cast to the skintone (side by side, the AAPB looks almost rust red), and the AA 3.0 is far too light.

Re: HT's New TrueType female body - Review (applies to Black Widow and Jill Valentine
Update: The internal torso. Should the need arise for you to access the 4 screws to tighten the joints to solve floppy neck or shoulders.
Correction: on my statement regarding the arms/shoulder socket. The shoulder ball sockets are slightly large than TTF bodies (like the Caucasian and Cuban), they are not entirely compatible, but some modding may get them to fit. However, some bodies like Sarah Connor's can have direct switch of the arms with no modding necessary.

More update:
With the rubber skin removed. 3 crews hold the bottom pelvis together. Casting was not very good with my copy (for the pelvis) that cause some floppy-ness of the waist (due to the loose ball socket of the pelvis. I ground it to fit and screw it more tightly, stiffness restored.

Sarah's on a different body...
Minus the arms.... the internal of the body is as such...

you asked on Sarah Connor's arms on SSF forum....
Modding HT's Female TT (Sarah Connor) rubber/silicone arms to restore swivel point.
Boot feet to normal feet... not possible without modification, .... or just switch the entire lower legs from the knees down.
You can tighten them... pop the knees out to adjust.

To those who are still curious of what the "wings" are. Pic shown them attached to the sides of the hips/pelvis. As you can see it reduces the articulation range...

Great pics as usual, beastx. I dunno why HT considers the articulation as secondary these days. Wish they'd just make 'em like this so people don't have to do these kinds of invasive mods.

All the pics (body shots) I posted ... and This (below) had the "wing" removed
The spit of the "wings" from the body as you can see is directly on top of the ball of the hip (pic below)
If you intend to do this mod with her in her original suit. The only advantage is that you can move her legs further back. All other benefits is impeded by the suit.

Rant
After finally purchasing and getting the basic female bodies, I have to say as much as I love Hot Toys, I'm a bit disapointed at the restricted articulations. Of course they look great and everything. way ahead of all the other companies. But I'm not sure I'm gonna buy several of the current gen as I thought I would.
I'd like double joints at both the elbows and knees plus ankles that can bend a little from side to side on the basic figure. They're a bit disapointing compared to the male one's range of motion. Anyway, glad I decided to get the whole BW and I'm def gonna keep the body.
So thanks for all this, I'm def gonna remove the wings.
