Saving Private Ryan... by Zuno... ^L^
Saving Private Ryan...
Capt. John H. Miller...
1/6th customized by Zuno...
Head Sculpt: Serang/Painted
Body: Soldier Story/Customized
Uniform: Soldier Story/Weathered
Helmet: DID/Customized
Glove: Soldier Story/Weathered
Thompson MG: DID/Weathered
Boots: Soldier Story/Weathered
Looses: Soldier Story/Weathered
Base: Self-Built
--------------------------------
Hi all,
I just finished "Capt. John H. Miller" from the movie "Saving Private Ryan".
The scene I made is just before he met Private Ryan in the grassy field.
I painted a Serang's Miller head sculpt. I think it is one of the most similar to him.
And I used Soldier Story's uniforms and looses but helmet and Thompson that were produced by DID for more accurate...
I press the tiny grasses one by one into the base. It was very fun experience...
Anyway, I hope you like my Miller.
Thanks,
Zuno... ^L^

Very cool piece! a few inaccuracies to the film, but it doesn't at all take away from the piece. I rather like the leather gloves actually

Any chance of a tutorial on the base?
What did you use for the weeds?
Awesome, by the way.

superb!!!!
one of the best Miller figs I've seen!
The helmet weathering is really nicely done!
You can't beat that Serang sculpt and you did a superb job painting it
The gloves look great but I'm thinking I don't remember Miller wearing gloves?

You don't remember him wearing gloves in the movie for the simple fact that he didn't.

Oh man this is fantastic! Wonderfully weathered/painted and the pose is perfect for the environment.
Can I ask how did you make the tall grass? It;s great (I want some) lol.
Steve.

The grasses are real.
It was part of a flower basket for decoration.
I found it at my sister-in-law's house in Louisiana...
She didn't remember where she got that.
Thanks,
Zuno... ^L^
