you know I spent about 2 weeks weathering that damned DML hooded jacket with coffee and sandpaper, and it hardly shows! Any thoughts on reducing the shine on the reflective tape on the FDNY bunker coat?

Nuclear Winter? Otherwise id die of de-hydration under so many layers of warm clothes
Sandpaper on the Firefighter Coat would help, or you can try bleach/thinner that attacks the material a bit.
I really do like the fact that they look through out and maintained and not like some raggedy bums who seemed to spend the rest of their days in a dumpster...
Especially in a PA World you would maintain your gear, fix it, keep it working and not ripped, teared and destroyed.

It would be very hard to keep things in pristine condition in a world where there are no factories to make new items, or tailors to repair them. People would have to repair things with whatever is available, thus the 'raggedy bum' look.
weapons like the machete, sawed off shotty, crowbar, bolt cutters, knife and bat all feel like correct weapons. I'd think it would be hard to find gov't type weapons like the USP and combat shotgun, unless he's from a gov't agency. Cool figure, some weathering would really push the PA look.

thanks for the flowers amigo.... but I must disagree, I could pretty much find USP's and combat shotguns in half the homes in Houston....but once again,

You can sew holes up, you can use duct tape, wire etcpp. I am not talking about pristine or super clean, just well maintained and looked after. Petey's stuff looks that way, practical, thought out and realistic.

I believe I saw someone else do that and thought the bunker coat looked very cool too, so in all fairness, it ain't an original idea, but thanks Spider
