The sculpt is by Inae Kang (also known as Kang In Ae) who was responsible for the HT Godfather.

I am assured updates will be made available during production, and he should be available to ship in Q1 of 2011-

Well said. I have only seen a few scenes from the film when it occasionally appears on t.v. I am a big fan of De Palma and Pacino, but what I've seen of the film hasn't done much to make me want to sit down for a full viewing.

As for that sneak peak of the head sculpt above - it looks really nice - great job on those eyes eh?

Just been e-speaking with Blitzway, lots of stuff going on but in a nutshell they have more than one version of Montana planed but no other Pacino figures at the moment (though this may of course change).
They do have other licensed figures planned and at the moment the unit price hasn't been set for retail (I guess they are still working out final manufacturing and distribution costings) but as soon as I know more I'll post it up.


As for the sculptor, it was one of the first things I asked... at the moment it's being kept mysterious but the one thing I was old is that 1/6 aficionados will probably have heard of them....?

if you guys haven't watched the movie, you're missing out alot
basically all the grand thief auto games are built up from this movie, and GTA vice city is actually a tribute to this movie.

Al's acting was totally different from michael in god father, very blunt and tough. i admit its a bit slow in the middle but over all a great film.

Over the years I participated in god only knows how many narcotics search warrants.. almost ALWAYS.. ALWAYS.. we found some Scarface poster or memorabilia in the dope man's house... got to be a running joke.. OK we found the Scarface poster.. the coke has gotta be here somewhere

I've been wanting to do a PTO Michael Corleone kitbash for some time (in Marine Utilities, not the Alphas he wears in the opening wedding scene); and the possibility of getting one of these headsculpts for a decent price might make that a reality. An older headsculpt might be perfect to show the "thousand yard stare" that a Marine JO would almost certainly have after days of combat against Japanese defenders. Most of the Sideshow ones that I've seen are far too much to be worth the price for just the sculpt.

As to the movie itself, I'll echo the opinion that it's atrocious (not Pacino's worst though-that's a toss-up between Cruisin' and Gigli.) It's funny, Pacino and DePalma reunited a decade later and did a much better crime drama with Carlito's Way; but few of the Scarface fan-boys seem to have seen it.
