VHT Future Combat System Fitting Tests
Just bought them, a fan of VHT's original stuff, the helmet can do with some enhancement such as mic and a lens like in Ghost Recon...
HS are handpainted copies of HT Conor & Wright.
TTL bodies work just fine also, I think.
Again, no time for CG or weapons... pls bear with me.
Thanks for looking!

Re: VHT Future Combat System Fitting Tests
They certainly look cool, though I expect no-less from you, Calvin When you revisit the figures, I'd suggest tightening up the front of the vest in the belly area, it seems to sit out too far imho.
Did you switch the shoulder pads around? I remember pictures showing the flag wrong but it looks like you found a viable work around. Nice job.
Nice hs lol I'm jealous of what you can find in your AO
Look forward to the enhancements you can do with your skills.

Re: VHT Future Combat System Fitting Tests
Yeah, thanks for tips Saiko, I noticed the sticking out thing with the vest, the HT stands also added to that, no worries, will fix them in future proper posting, these are just quick snaps.
Indeed, that is the good and bad thing abt being in HK, just can't stop buying...

The fit of the Crye Chassis armor looks much better than Soldier Story.

Can the shoulder pads be detach and put on the SS multicam vest?

Re: VHT Future Combat System Fitting Tests
They look good.
Now, can anyone ID that "halo" or whatever that is attached to the helmets? I haven't seen them in 1:1, and I'm curious if they're a concept piece, a limited R&D issue, or what?

Re: VHT Future Combat System Fitting Tests
I hope local retailer bring these sets in. I find the helmet a little bit funky looking and looks like a bit too "tall".
The Multicam version is almost like the 1st Tyncorp figure they put out except for the helmet and the shoulder pads. I reckon you changed out the boots too ya Cal?
So I will probably want to go for the ACU one when available.
Thanks for the quick review and picts

I like the unis but I can do NOTHING with those helmets- they remind me of TRON.

Re: VHT Future Combat System Fitting Tests
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the helmets are based on the Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter (GRAW) concept. If you google it, you'll see some images of helmets that are almost the same as the ones that Very Hot made...

So, those patches aren't just stickers? They're already attached to the shoulder pads?

That helmet with the MC set looks way weird from the side, looks like a Cro-Magnon head.

Yeah, think they got the idea from that, see the assemblance:

I like them, break those tactical glasses in the market into two and you got the eye piece too

Re: VHT Future Combat System Fitting Tests
Shoulder armour undetachable but very secured, hate hanging stuff...
Flags and patches are water-stickered on, unremovable, again. I like it that way, hate losse stuff...
Yes Porkin, I would have used the original boots if I had the time to repaint, screw the glove hands.
If anyone haven't bought the first MC sets, I would recommend this, beats versions outhere!
Hurray to VHT, whom grew from copycats to masters, pls do more original stuff!!!

You are wrong in that the helmets are based upon the actual U.S. military Future Force Warrior concept now currently in development. The game got the idea from a real world program. See the early pics below there's a lot more on the web. In the pics the face mask is worn and the helmet is uncovered:

Re: VHT Future Combat System Fitting Tests
awesome looking set. Hey can you tell me whether this particular ACU has more of the grayish/Toy soldier feel, or is the ACU more of a greenish color?? Thanx!!!!!!!

Great figures! Perfect for GRAW bashing! I agree it only requires some small work to get this helmet done. Thanks for sharing, mate!

Hi CalvinLo,
What the colour like on the ACU is it like the Soldier Story one? Is it more grey or greenish grey?
Thanks.

Re: VHT Future Combat System Fitting Tests
Thanks for sharing Calvin. Wow. It looks like VHT is coming quite a way from being just the knock-off company with second-rate QC it started as. I remember reading some posts in past threads about sloppy stitching and loose threads. Hard to tell from just the pics but the QC on the cloth gear looks improved too. As someone with actual product in hand, how do you find the quality of the cloth gear in these recent releases?
