HT released information that this new true type body will be scheduled for release in 2010 but it will be released with another head sculpt. This particular Prison Break head sculpt is a present for all HT VIP members and facebook lucky draw winners.

Glad to know u guys are happy with the xmas gifts, we will work harder to bring u more surprises in 2010. Please do not feel sad if u did not receive this gift for not being a VIP member, HT will bring this particular true type body as mass produced item in the year 2010, but it will not be released with this particular head sculpt. This Michael Scoffield head sculpt is one of its kind and will not be re-released, an absolute rare collector's item!

No mention of the race of the pending release but judging from HT's previous releases.

the TT body was given via 2 channels:

1 .) Facebook - nomination of favorite top 3 Hot Toys figures for Y2009

2.) VIP - think members who had purchased regularly from Toy Hunters (Hot Toys retail store in HK)

To qualify as a Toy Hunter VIP member, u have to pre-order/buy 8 box sets within 6 months. And I am not sure if u can be a VIP member if u r not in HK?

Thanks for the pics and review. A few questions: I've read that the figure is heavier and has a more solid build - is it made of PVC or is it still ABS plastic like the old TT's. I also read it uses a rubber covering on the butt/hips. Lastly, it looks like the new TT is shorter - is this difference only due to the neck, or are otber parts of the body shorter? Thanks in advance.

Very nice.
Looks a little bit like a cross between the True Type and the Soldier Story S2 body.
Love the head sculpt and paint apps but the "in box" pic looks like he's ready for take off with those ears. Wingnut comes to mind...

Whoa the repainted skin looks frighteningly realistic, but kinda aged him too much.
I notice the gift head's neck post has the same shape as the Slim TT.

nickwcy just repainted the hair from blonde to black. The skin tones came as it is from HT.

Noticed on the AF hub that you got the CHristmas cards with it,
Could you possible take photos or scans of the two sets so we could all see 'em???

Saw one of these on eBay for about a hundred dollars. Wonder how much higher they'll sell for?

BTW, is there any possibility of Hot Toys releasing a muscle body with next year's batch of True Types- what do you all think?

Neat. Can anyone confirm the height? It's hard to tell in "Shaun's" (awsome) comparison pics. Is it same as TT or slightly smaller? Personally, I think the TT's are a bit too tall and would prefer it to be shorter...

Hi Jeffajab, the new true type (w/o neck and head) is the same height as the previous normal body ones, though I think the neck piece will make the overall figure height slightly shorter as it flushes deeper into the collar joint, when compared to the normal true types short neck piece (the one used on the Tom Cruise true type).

Normal True Type full Neck, New True Type Neck and Slim True Type Neck
