Sculpting process with the skull

Hi all,

I'm going to introduce a Korean Rookie... named Jungmi Kim (a.k.a. JungaToy).
She recently joined with the Rainman Artwork.
It is her first project in there... titled "SKULL for custom"...

Fantastic base for sculpts, but I'm certain we'll see those used as-is with just the skull in some bashes.

Looks like the kid from A.I. ( the non skull I mean ). Great idea having an anatomically accurate platform on which to layer your sculpt. I would end up wanting one as is as well

that's totally awesome! the teeth looks very realistic once the sculpt is finished.

she should add eyeballs to that skull, and some PERS system

I went through the checkout to see how much shipping would be for a skull and a custom head and it was like $29 to the US! Is that accurate? I'd really like to get these.-jason

But Kojun, also from SKorea, has been using Skulls as base for years, well not sure if still does. But when I found his site back in 04 Kojun had steps using skulls. Wish I could find them agian on his site, anybody have pics or links please let me know.

But Im sure you guys can use other 1/6 scale skulls from Ebay, like those Red Horse or Predator skulls.

Zuno what kind of sculpting material used to make the head sculpt? That gray clay, what is that? some kind like epoxy? I always want to know that...

btw is it limited?

She used 'Super Sculpey'.

This is like CSI! Someone found a corpse and the doctor reconstruct the face for identification. Awesome sculpting skills!

That's a great idea. I've often thought that some type of blank "base" for sculpting would be a great aid to the process. It doesn't have to be a skull, per se, but the skull is a neat bonus as it could also be used as itself, or for zombies, etc.

Of course, the cost would be the big question...$18 on website...eh....
