Terminator Blair Williams custom (pic heavy!)
Hi there!
Hot Toys didn't do me the favour so I had to do it myself: Making a Blair figure.
Since I saw the pics of the HT Marcus figure I had been waiting. No luck. 
The figure itself is basically finished. I want to make an extra stand with nameplate and Terminator Salvation logo and I will have to re-arrange the hair a little (make it more curly). But apart from that I am pretty satisfied with how everything turned out.
Most of the figure was self made. For example the sculpt, the pants, the belt and the holster are made from scratch. The rest was seriously altered (except the jacket, which only had some minor changes and the desert eagle.)
I used the TrueType slim body as the base and made a little gender change. 
That is because I needed a very tall body (same height as Marcus).
Unfortunately I am not a very good photographer, so please forgive blurry pics.
The changed True type slim body:
The pants with suede detail on the back (at the bottom you can see the original colour of the fabrics):
The boots made from New Line ones. (I added a sheath for the knife.)

Jesus man, that is amazing. I'd love an explanation of how you did the weathering on the boots. I've got a pair I'm working on now and and still trying to figure out how to get the wear, tear, and bleached out look just right.

Very well done. That is some great custom work. I am really digging the Terminator Salvation bashes and your custom is one of the best I have seen for sure.

Hi,
if you got real leather boots, I'd start by rubbing down the surface with sandpaper (only on the areas you want to look old and used). Then I used acrylic paint and a broad and sturdy brush. Make sure the brush is dry and only use minimal amount of paint. Best thing is to dip the brush into the paint, then wipe off the excess paint with a tissue and start to paint. The less paint on the brush = the better the result.
