Enterbay- Mr Bean review
You can't get much more left field than this... even I had my doubts, but he actually turned out pretty damn cool-

Re: Enterbay- Mr Bean review
Great review!
I could see this figure becoming a grail. Not my grail, but for fans of the character.
I have no connection to this character whatsoever. Not that you need a connection to purchase figures. I have many figures that I have little to no connection but bought them because they were visually interesting to me.
Right now I don't see this figure doing well.

Re: Enterbay- Mr Bean review
I love this! Rowan Atkinson is one of my favorite comedians! Hope Enterbay does a Johnny English version of him ;D
It'll take a while before I own one, though $150 is a lot of money

Looks like another Enterbay hit. Like you, I think my wife would approve of this one. Such a great character and a very unique figure. I might have to put away some money for this one.

Thanks for the review! It is indeed a very well produced figure. Great HS and costume! The bear doll is a great touch! I guess someone will get him a nice 1/6 Mini Cooper.

Re: Enterbay- Mr Bean review
Brilliant though this is, I'd far sooner have a Blackadder. If you add a 'tache and a WW1 uniform you could almost turn this into Blackadder Goes Forth.
Just imagine if they did Basil Fawlty!

I'd love some Blackadder figures too! the second series would make some great figures like Percy looking like a bird that swallowed a plate!

Re: Enterbay- Mr Bean review
Cheers all, yeah, this does deserve to do really well, it's just very well thought through.
I'd love an Edmund Blackadder, but I wonder how well it would do internationally, for all of Beans faults it was a televisual smash all over the planet.

Re: Enterbay- Mr Bean review
Like most people really enjoyed Mr.Bean and all the Rowan Atkinson material.......
$150 though is way over the top for basically a suit and a few plastic bits. Yes I have heard 'but it's a licensed figure' slogan before. Just a few points, the shoes look like molded plastic.......for $150 you would at least expect a pair of DiD like leather lace up shoes; does the suit case open ? or is just a lump of plastic ? Teddy looks more like a chocolate Easter Egg, and sorry does nothing have any real 'quality' appeal; the stitching on the suit looks totally of a different colour to the suit.
Take a look at a 'generic' image of the real Mr.Bean and there are other questions that could be asked. Trousers in most episodes etc are not the same shade of colour as his jacket. Could go on and on.....but this is just a review of what is $150 of toy.

So at the end of the day it's $150 for what ? nothing that pushes the bench mark up, just a figure with an 'Eagle Eye' system that leaves GI Joe of the 60's still at the top. There is so much Mr.Bean is known for, from the series' the 'added' extras could have been included.
So summing up, good to all the people who can pay out $150, but for the rest of us think I will pass on the bloke in a suit with a Teddy Bear.

Tut, tut, tut, you didn't red the review properly! (can't blame you, I do on a bit!)
But yes, there are two movies
1- Bean (The Ultimate Disaster Movie) 1997
2- Mr Beans Holiday 2007
There was also the animated series (my personal favourite) and a bout 4 or 5 TV series.

The animated series is the best!
I dont think I posted these pics before but if I have then its a repost.
But as my 11yr old son that posed the fig I think it warrants a repost!

Re: Enterbay- Mr Bean review
lol, good to know you have all 3 LMs.
i've questions about mr. bean and need some clarifications. This is my first enterbay figure, so i don't know if it's normal for all enterbay figures or just my mr. bean.
I find it extremely difficult for mr. bean to stand without the support of figure stand. He seems to keep losing balance and tip over.
and the neck joint is extremely loose, a tiny tap on the figure and the head will tilt down by itself.
i can't move the head looking up, at first i thought it's the hair piece blocking the mobility, but after i remove the hair piece, the head sculpt still couldn't tilt upward (looking at the sky pose, hopefully you know what i mean).
so, is this normal for all mr. bean figures or i need to get a replacement? thank you.

I'm afraid thats the common problem with Bean - he has a loose head problem, nothing really you can do - some of my customers use tac to help it stay.
Hope this helps.

As BR said, it's a trait of the RM1, I'm hoping thr RM2 will be much better.
I managed to get him to stand OK in most poses, but like I said in the review, for long term poses the stand is pretty essential.
And if you pull the head off you can pack the neck post out with blu-tak and it's much better.
