Somewhat poor picture, but this is the crew of the Alliance Space Vessel ( A.S.V. ) Iowa II. The original Iowa wa destroyed by a character called Uncle 5, but that's a story for another time.

Not everyone has a name or back story yet, but left to right are:
Engineering Mate
Cheif Engineer
Navigator
Helmsman
Weapons Specialist
Captain Davenport ( Dave ) Vilsidian
First Officer
Second Officer
Cheif of Security
Radiation Specialist
Ships Surgeon

Next up is a little experiment backlighting my Mars Diorama. Obviously, it needs to be lit on the front side as well, but I liked the effect.

Finally, after trying many configurations, I think I have settled on a look for Colonel Dedmun. Perhaps with a different set of hands though.
Dedmun is a Cyborg with the brain of the murdered Major Stickerson ( also involving Uncle 5 ).
His memory was supposed to erased, but he most certainly retains ALL of his previous knowledge, much to the dismay of the individuals hoping to exploit him as an asset. He originally had flesh over his Vibranium skull, but and accident testing his custom sidearm ( not pictured ) burned it away and he elected to forego replacement. His ominous look frightens many soldiers and command personnel, but he is dedicated to the Alliance and the Universal Military Forces he serves under, insubordination not withstanding ( you kinda get that way when a secret government program whacks you for parts.). One difference between his personality and Major Stickerson's is a complete disregard for the Alliance's primary enemy, The Slimers. Interrogations are often over the top and very short, but Slimers are basically " Sentient Pussbags " in his eyes.

That's all i got for now.
My WIP Space Station has undergone repairs after the unfortunate crash it experienced and has had some much needed structural improvements. I hope to post a photoshoot including it soon.
Thanks for looking!

Very nice. Obviously they're parts of a larger world you're building up and I'm looking forward to seeing more of it. I love this collecting approach where someone has a sustained narrative in mind and the bashed figures represent its foundation.

If I may, I would suggest that a group like your crew would photograph better on a solid or neutral background (wall or paper sheet) without the distracting real world back. Dedmun looks cool but I think he needs a slightly longer neck.

Very cool, definitely digging the look of the crew!
Thanks, I plan on additional uniform details like belts and possible sidearms and emergency respirators. The jumpsuits are super low $ Aliexpress buys and I have a stupid number of the yellow BBI t shirts so I may be adding more to their number.

Thank you for sharing. Looks like you are well on your way to complete ambitious projects, and with a back story to boot. That nefarious Uncle 5 does not sound very avuncular. Does he cry "Say uncle!" every time he is about to dispatch one of his victims?
At this time, Uncle 5 doesn't have a catch phrase, but " Say Uncle " isn't so bad for a homicidal robot. Lol.
Uncle 5 just happens to be the name ThreeA gave the figure and I went with it.

Love the backstory, and the crew looks legit. Looking forward to seeing the space station once the new version is up and operational!
I tried hard to keep them as uniform as practical while differentiating slightly here and there.
The Space Station continues to take shape. I have to make some changes for access in order to be able to take photos in side, then I think I can set up a shoot.

Is it the deliberate choice to have a unisex male crew? 'Cause that always seems like a good idea, until they get to some planet where the mad scientist has a big robot and one hot daughter... More seriously, if you plan to get into some photostorytelling you may also want to distinguish the uniforms in some more pronounced way, particularly if you need each of the 5 guys on the left to be recognizable in a long shot. Maybe by colors on the undershirts. There's a reason Star Trek uniforms used over-bright primary colors.
The gender choice is more about the number of female characters I have, that are not Barbies, than any other consideration. I do have a female pilot and a female Marine and the final two are civilian astronauts.
I appreciate the input on the uniforms. My basic plan was as many coverall and yellow T-shirt crewmen as I could make with the red shirt on the security chief to mix it up a little. The Captain, first and second officers are differentiated by their pants and long sleeve shirts. The Captain wears yellow to tie in with the crew's yellow shirts and #1 and #2 have the closest blue to the coveralls I could get. The radiation specialist wears a GI Joe Deep Sea Diver jumpsuit that is a good match for the blue and has yellow stripes up the sleeves to help with the tie in.
I hadn't given much thought to distinguishing the crew, but it's now something for me to consider.
One more crew member I have is a robot named Sargeant Red Gloves, seen here sans gloves....

The Sarge is a Marine Robot who was damaged and rebuilt using parts from a Navy Unit. ( The Alliance has financial troubles and "Reuse, Rebuild and Recycle" are gospel. ) . Unfortunately, he was mistakenly assigned to the Iowa II instead of being returned to his unit. While he generally accepts this as the price of duty, being referred to as " Seaman Gloves" agitates him. Captain Vilsidian feels that allowing a bot with the rank of Sargeant on a Naval vessel is infinitely safer than a raging Marine .
