I really like damaged vehicle dioramas,I keep looking for a damage WW2 Jeep so I can do one with paying full price for something I'm going to damage anyhow.
Thanks for the flashbacks... And I mean that as a compliment. It is hands down the most realistic representation of a destroyed HMMWWV I have seen in any scale (but I'm not surprised given your background). I kid you not, I have a picture of our first IED which is almost spot on to your exact representation. It's a little creepy.
During my service in Stan..... I had to salvage some Allied vehicles which were blown up.... or flipped.... or stuck... or upside down... or sunk in the river... hit by a RPG ...granates... burned... or totaly shutterd down to the frame....
I have seen a variety of damage.
dont want to shorten your afforts but there are some details that dont fit together...
Beautiful! The exposed engine bay and chassis are surely harder to render than they look. Some figures, whether in action or relaxed after the fact would certainly add to the impact, no pun intended!
