Thor: Ragnarok Roadworn sixth scale figure review

It's been almost two weeks since Thor: Ragnarok hit theaters, so it's high time I checked out the first Hot Toys release based on the movie - Roadworn Thor! Yea, he's a re-used head sculpt, but there's some very good reasons to pick him up. Check out my review here:

Huh, figures aren't usually available from HT this close to their corresponding movie release.
Looks cool but that price.... lots of 1/6 figures and video game releases competing for collectors money right now.

This is the only Thor figure I have. It is indeed overpriced, and the sculpted hair drives me insane, but it’s the only Thor I’m going to buy, overall I like it.

Thank you for the reviews and photos. I have the first Thor and a couple of later head sculpts, so I am not sure I would be going for this one, but certainly a beautiful figure.

I wonder why they won't take a chance on a male figure with rooted hair? If one of thier goals is truly making figures with "movie accurate sculpts" wouldn't a rooted hair Thor (or Aquaman) be brilliant? Or is that idea too ahead of its time to comprehend without offense?

Trust me, I’m with you. But, sadly, there appears to be far more vocal, insecure males out there, afraid their masculinity will be challenged, for HT to take a chance on rooted hair on a male figure. It’s stupid, but there it is. Those guys can bitch and complain all they want about how rooted hair doesn’t look good, or how it makes the figure look like a Barbie, but of all the companies out there doing rooted hair, HT has proven time and time again that it can be done.
