    R.A.M.C. parachute field ambulance - june 1944

I got carried away, like Dunant, in a little diorama Her Majesty's Royal Medical Corps - so you can heal the wounds on the abraded fingertips to keyboard usage in the surf at this site - the character is a "private" of the parachute field ambulance shot directly as many other bodies by gliders in June '44

I like his "calmly about his business" look, and that ruddy complexion. A most pleasing character.

Nice figure, just a slight mistake...Parachute troops wouldn't use a Bergen. They were the solely issued to glider borne troops in the 6th Airborne Division. The Parachute Field Ambulance would be issued the small pack and another specialised pack that was roughly the same size as the small pack but had a skirt around the opening flap.

I like cross on the shoulder bag. I've been wanting to bash a medic and that's a great idea. Did the Paras use a cross on their helmets or just use an arm band?

I really like that one. If you replaced the webbing with some of Tony Barton's tape with the correct blanco colour it would be even better. I love the fact he's in his shirt sleeves and has the coloured scarf... gives him a different look to most of the British airborne figures we see on the boards.

Thanks for posting the pictures. Really ties what you were thinking when bashing your figure.
