    VAMPIRELLA (Custom/Kitbash)

    Hi Folks,

Well... after three years and a crap-load of trial and error (about 20 different patterns and three different types of material for the red swimsuit section, and 5 different patterns and 3 different materials for the collar), I finally finished this pain-in-the-ass project.

After sewing the bottom part of the swimsuit together in the back, I slipped it on the figure and then had to sew the parts that cover the breasts onto the ring while it was on the figure. The collar had to be done essentially the same way to make sure the tension was correct. The pattern is still slightly off, but I've had enough... so it'll have to do.

    Parts list:

Head Sculpt -- Wondery Leona (rerooted by Kristen of tsubasahome.com)
Body -- Phicen seamless Pale Large Bust Version 4 (plastic skeleton... the only ones that would work with the boots that I wanted)
Red swimsuit -- ultra-thin PVC; Collar -- faux leather, from MJ Trends
    Boots -- unknown, from eBay
bracelets & collar ring -- gold jewelry-making accessories from Michael's
    Bat -- unknown, from etsy.com
    Base -- Triad "Grave Danger"

    Thanks for looking:

Wow! The costume looks great. I can't see what's off. Looks like a good fit. Also like the head sculpt. If you hadn't mentioned it, I would have thought this was a s.s. body. Now I can see by the thicker arms and more broad shoulders. I think that works well with this character. I have a mid bust plastic skeleton, but that body doesn't look this good.

Looks like your work on the swimsuit really paid off! Does it stick to the silicone skin?

Actually, no. The PVC has a cloth backing.

Looks good. How much flexibility comes with this body? Can you give us a rear view?

This is one of the plastic skeleton bodies, and they have horrendously shitty flexibility. I didn't take any rear photos, as that is where the "costume" looks the worst. The fit on her buttocks isn't perfect, and the PVC has some pretty terrible glue seams. If you're still interested in a rear shot, I can take one when I get home on Saturday.

This is AMAZING! The stand is PERFECT! Interesting use of an Asian head sculpt too. So cool! Thanks for sharing!

    Thanks, Fellas.

As requested: here is a rear shot (sorry, ladies for the butt shot... but that's pretty much her outfit). I stained the figure working on the back, and unfortunately it bulges a little in the middle, but I won't be displaying her ass anyway, so...

Excellent job. It looks great. Only thing I'd say is just a bit off is the face, which doesn't really strike me as Vampirella, but it isn't bad or way off base.
