Thanks. Was hoping somebody else would answer correctly before me.

Ok, here's one for the modern fans to learn something from. Many of us know the corruption of the original lines ...

"Show mercy neither to order, nor to age, nor to sex....Cathar or Catholic, Kill them all... God will know his own...."

as "Kill 'em all. Let God sort 'em out."

At what siege were these original lines spoken?

Ivan, close on the date. 1209.

But what was the siege? The siege of ______ (a town)?

There's a clue in the quote.

I'd say General Patton but I can't find anything to confirm that.

that would be captain John Long, in an interview for a book about WWII. Captain long was quoting a speech by Patton, and added two additional lines, including a slightly more "raw" version of this quote.

Warlordskeep & graeylin, Well done, both WWII history buffs?

Well, the actual speech made when General Patton addressed the 761st Tank battalion, the first AA armoured unit in the history of the US Army to see combat.

"Men, you are the first AA tankers to ever fight in the American Army. I have nothing but the best in my army.I don't care what color you are, so long as you go up there & kill the K**ut.Everyone has their eyes on you & is expecting great things from you.

Most of all, your race is looking forward to your sucess.Don't let them down, and, damn you don't let me down."

and two colorful lines was adapted in the movie.

    Over to you two gents

Well Thank you, I'm not much of a military history buff. So Here's one about the hobby.
When Hasbro decided to re-release the vintage G.I. Joe. Where did they find the Original molds from the first 12 inch G.I. Joe and what was it being used as?

I want to say at the creator's widow's house, being used as a doorstop, but that was actually the molds for some of the Marx toy soldiers.

Well then maybe my information is an urban legend. I read it was the boiler room at the Pawtucket office being used as a door stop. Maybe Graeylin or LG should take the wheel.

No, no, it's still yours. My response was regarding the Marx toy soldier molds. And I didn't even have the right location, just function.

I relinquish any claim, imagined or otherwise, to the next question to anyone but myself.
