    Not Agree!!
They look concentrated and with pressure... And of course ready to DIE as every single fighter entering in the arena! I Think Dunedin made a PERFECT reconstruction of the feeling of the Colossuem.. Again I think it's an amazing job!
I love all the little details he placed all around, the gates, etc.etc.

Did you noticed the Fish carved in the wall? This means that probably in this Colosseum some Christians slaves was used for Arena games! This was their sign!
    Incredible details!!

Absolute genius assembling this set piece together. So realistic at a 1/6th scale.
I very much like the attention to detail. Even casting the shadows and play of lighting adds to the overall effect.
Kaustic Plastik's gladiators look right at home so to speak.
Did you use styrofoam and balsa wood for the staging/seating area? How did you create those vases?

Perfect use of your dungeon dio! Where did you get the second helmet in the background and is it 1/6?

I used balsa wood for the furniture and Modur for the walls. The vases are ebay and flea market finds.

The helmets (from left to right):

    Murmillo helmet from Ignite, metal
Thraex helmet. I found this one in a souvenir shop in Rome it matches 1/6 scale (see second picture), metal
    Murmillo helmet from ACI, metal
Murmillo helmet from ACI (Flamma), plastic
Thraex helmet from Kaustic Plastik (Celadus), metal

I have plans to visit Rome, Naples and Pompeii in spring. I can have a look there, if you like. The original design of the helmet is with green patina like this version of the ACI helmet: ACITOYS
It needs a small head. I used the Latino lookin Hot Toys muscle guy for it

Great pics! Love the scorpion shield too. I see you used the same HS on your Celt/ Gaul gladiator as I did on this one from Spartacus!

Funny you mentioned that, I've been shopping for key chain weapons to add to my arsenal too. Some nice stuff out there.

Well I give up, tried the entire net to find it including italiansouvenirs.com and both the Italian ebay sites with no luck, the closest I found was this.

Re: Gladiators - Before the Fight

Of course, there is a generation of us Brits that can recall a time, pre Russell Crowe, when this thread title would have conjured images of lycra and a guy in ref gear yelling "Contenders, ready!?" "Gladiators, ready!?"

Those were the days, Jet was my fave
