Really nice start! and what a coincidence, I just bought this Mariachi suit 1:1 (my size) on eBay! Gonna dye it black and wear it to weddings to annoy everyone in their conservative long tail suits! Thought it might be an inspiration to your project as well!

Still need some corrections but yes I would like to make a Zapata

Nice suit... dont paint it!!!... is not a mariachi suit... is modern modern recontruction of a Cinaco suit.... chinacos were before the charros and mariachis... it could be cool to make a 1/6 scale Chinaco, since they were very brave and very important warriors in Mexico the XIX century, the clothes of the chinacos are very complex to do even in real size.

Wow! Thanks for the historical background on the origin of the style of suit, great to know it's based on famous Mexican warriors! The pics were very helpful, I'll do a google search on the Chinacos. I think spurs are a must accessory now!

The latest issue of "Shotgun News" has a great article about the Mexican revolution and the guns used. Very nice capsule history that tells you who was who.Excellent figure.
