The Amazing Spider-Man

The wife and I saw the movie in IMAX 3D-- we loved it! Different in tone from the Raimi Spider-Man movies, but that was to be expected. Not as much humor (but there is humor to be sure) and in many ways this is a bit darker than the Raimi versions. Also, this is a movie that is intended to be seen in 3D-- there are several effects that get a big payoff seen that way. If you've been on the fence about seeing it, I say go for broke-- you'll really enjoy it!

Re: The Amazing Spider-Man

I plan on seeing it tonight, I wanted to go to the premiere but the Monday night midnight premier was just too awkward for me considering work

Be sure to post your thoughts on the movie after you've seen it!

Re: The Amazing Spider-Man

I thought it was pretty good. Garfield made a good Peter Parker and spider-man. The Lizard was cool to see onscreen, but the design of his head was really distracting. Everytime they showed him I couldn't help but think of the "koopas" from the horrible live action Super Mario Brothers movie

The Lizard looks like a weird wiener.
