Can't say I've read the books, but anything zombie is good! Also, if it's 1/2 the show that Breaking Bad is, it's gonna be GREAT! I can't say I'm a big fan of the super short and widely spaced seasons tho'.
Looking forward to this...

It would be fair to say that I'm very excited about this.
Everything about it feels right, and if they pull it off, it'll be up there with Romero's first three 'Dead' movies and the world created by Max Brooks in World War Z.
I've picked up the comic since #1, so yeah, this is a big deal for zombie geeks - BRING IT ON!

I've been reading the book for years too.
I'm very excited, the show looks to have very high production standards, judging by the contumes and make-up alone.

Am i the only who who was majorly disappointed when Moore stopped beeing the one drawing Walking Dead? I really really liked his style of drawing, after him, i slowly stopped reading it, the story was still good, but i disliked the drawing :/

So...excited...about this.... LOVE this series. I don't get the monthly comics, but I pick up each graphic novel compilation as they come out. I really hope the series lives up to the gritty nature of the comics.

Just read a few set reports there, the word is that they have captured the feel of a dead world (like the beginning of Day of the Dead) really well.

I hope that after Comic-Con next week, we'll start getting to see more. Maybe commercials soon. It starts in October. They have to start promoting it soon.

Paladin - I was disappointed at first too, but the new artist grew on me his usage of shadow and light make up for the loss of Moore's visceral detailing. I get my Moore fix from the Fear Agent comics.
Waiting for TWD is going to be bitter sweet for me as I know that I'm going to be selling my entire run of the comic series when it finally starts to air. By then, I'd have to make some extra money to help with international adoption expenses.
<MINOR SPOILERS>
IMO, they should take their time with the series and not rush it. I hope that they end this season on the farm or community. As much as I love this comic and can't wait for the appearances of Tyrese, Michonne and the whole prison thing, they shouldn't rush it.

The Internet Movie Database is saying season 1 will only have 6 episodes. Not much but maybe AMC wants to see how many viewers the show gets before committing. A good cliffhanger to end season 1 could be...

A bootleg version of the Comic-Con trailer. 4 1/2 minutes. Hopefully we'll get a better version soon. Still pretty cool, though.
