any one heard any news that the new DX12 appears to have flaked on top of the rear legs..?

rear legs as opposed to the fore legs? flaked as in it's weird? or literally flaked as in it's got a qc issue? not sure what you mean.

i've been following pretty close and haven't heard of any problems with the legs. will have him in hand next week, though.

the guy who posted the video yesterday said he's having peeling problems, but i haven't seen his pics of the issues.

as others have said elsewhere: if you are just going to find a pose and stick the figure in a deltof or other cabinet, he's probably not going to have issues. but if you're going to play with it, you'll need some fabric glue to keep him together. not sure there's any avoiding this given the mixed media suit.

i have a feeling mine will be totally wrecked by the time i get done with him.

Well just got mine from Sideshow. Had to use them for the payment plan. Loving the figure but serious QC or packing issues with Sideshow or HT as the box is all bust up on the sides - split along the edges, dented on the corner. Its lost its resale value as MIB if was even contemplating to do so before I have even got it out.... Onto sideshow customer services to see what they advise. I brought it from them so its their issue to resolve.

That said - good figure in my book.

this problem was apparently pretty widespread. my shipping box came all beat to heck, but fortunately the dx12 box only had one minor scratch, but i have seen many others at ssf that were just completely trashed.

good luck with sideshow ~ i hear they will send you a new box if you send them pictures of the damages.

p.s. i have now had mine almost a month and have still not managed to wreck him. i do treat him with respect, but even so, i can be a little hard on my figures. still, he's holding up just fine. he's got one hand that seems to always want to pop off, but i have that problem with gordon too; otherwise, nothing torn, peeling, cracked, or broken.
