Medicom RAH Amazing Spider-Man
Hot Toys recently announced plans for a 1:6th scale Amazing Spider-Man figure based on the new movie (see HERE) and now Medicom of Japan looks to be doing the same. Presenting the Real Action Hero (RAH) Amazing Spider-Man. The figure will feature a slew of alternative hands, figure base (not pictured) and a textured outfit that replicates Spidey's new suit. The RAH Amazing Spider-Man will be limited to only 1500 pieces and is scheduled to arrive in Japan this August. No release date on the Hot Toys version yet, so if you're a fan itching to get your hands on a high-end 12-inch figure of the new Spider-Man first, this would be the one.

Re: Medicom RAH Amazing Spider-Man
Like he is wearing an old Union Suit. Stitching is a bit awkward as well.
I assume this is still a prototype so let's us see how it finally looks.

Re: Medicom RAH Amazing Spider-Man
I would actually buy one for like 120 bucks, but knowing medicom it will likely be 289 or something stupid like that. I know hot toys are getting more and more expenisive but at least there stuff gets better and better. This medicom looks to be the same as the one they made many years ago.

That outfit looks a little too baggy for my tastes.

Re: Medicom RAH Amazing Spider-Man
Skull nailed my thoughts exactly, Medicom's product is just way too over priced for what it is on today's market. Back in the day when they led as a 1:6 scale company they could get away with it, but with companies like Hot Toys and Enterbay stepping up their game (and expectations for the 1:6 market in general), Medicom really needs to adjust to the times. Of course there are folks willing to pay it - Medicom does have that unique anime-like vibe to all their product that some people really dig.

Re: Medicom RAH Amazing Spider-Man
Terrible simply terrible someone smack that designer and ceo who thought that looked like a releasable figure. it might be the medicom figure body itself or the terrible costume but that should never be released to the public. Im still pissed that a 1/6th figure of Black cat hasn't surfaced with old school costume or in movie.

Re: Medicom RAH Amazing Spider-Man
Actually this is out in HK now. It's actually not that bad, at least in the pose they displayed it in. But I do agree that it is quite expensive, especially with no head sculpt.

Re: Medicom RAH Amazing Spider-Man
You know with all the detail they put into these figures you'd think they could make a cloth mask that can be removed.
Oh, and a decent build on the figure.

Re: Medicom RAH Amazing Spider-Man
Several people over at SSF have in-hand pics and this figure looks really good. One guy in particular bought two and posted that the figure did have some seam damage as a result of extreme posing. Another member toned down the gloss a little and it looks great to me.

Re: Medicom RAH Amazing Spider-Man
Still a big pass. Per ordered the Hot Toys version, which I think is the better of the two. PLUS I'm a hugh Spidey fan and couldn't pass up on it.
