I wanted to share with my fellow board members Something close to my heart lost Photo album from the BCOF Kure Japan.
About 8 years ago my late father (Donald) found an old green military photo album at out local landfill while unloading rubbish, while the album and photographs were not in the best condition my father just could not stand to leave them there.
The album was taken home shown to the family and unfortunately forgotten about by my father for years, I on the other hand never forgot personally being a photographer I always thought about the album Who were the people in it? where were they from? are they still alive? ect.
When my father passed away a few years a go I came into possession of the album and I got to work on it right away.
As a hobby I enjoy editing/restoring old photographs I don't use photo shop I use my own program.
Many hours have gone into bringing them back to life some photos have had to have some area's completely rebuilt I have done this with the most amount of respect and accuracy in 90% of the images I have not changed any of the content I have removed spots, scratches, tears, and fixed exposure ect.
The Images so far completed from the album can be seen here.

The album is not finished its about 60%
I have offered the original album and photos along with the scans of the originals on CD to my local area RSL where they are to be displayed for the returned servicemen and community to see.
