M14 Socom

I'm looking to kitbash a marksman in the 101st Aribourne Division. Is it possible for a guy to use a M14 SOCOM?

Since I'm don't know much military specs can I pm someone questions regarding insignia?

I am not sure if the 101 has any of the Mk14 EBR. I know they have regular M14s and some have been fitted with stocks by Sage, Troy and Vltor. But they all had the full 22 inch barrel and were used in a SDM sort of role. If it were me I would go with the full length barrel model with the intermediate scope, since you can find pictures of conventional troops using that set up. I know HT made a version and I see them at MD and Cotswold every so often. It looks more like the M39 the Marines came up with.
